How does auto-renewal work?

Jan 8, 2025 Membership Help

Most memberships automatically renew to ensure uninterrupted access to content. However, we also offer a one-time membership option that does not renew.

Recurring memberships

For monthly and annual plans:

  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle
  • You’ll be charged the same rate as your current plan
  • Renewal happens on the same date each month (or year, for annual plans)

One-time membership ($39.95)

Our one-time membership is different:

  • No automatic renewal - you are charged once and that’s it
  • Access for a set period with no recurring charges
  • No need to cancel - your membership simply expires at the end of the period

This is a great option if you prefer not to worry about recurring charges. See our One-Time Membership guide for more details.

Billing notifications

For recurring memberships, you’ll receive an email reminder before each renewal. Check your spam folder if you’re not seeing these notifications.

Stopping auto-renewal on recurring plans

To stop automatic renewal, simply cancel your subscription before the next billing date. See our cancellation guide for step-by-step instructions.

After cancellation

When you cancel a recurring membership:

  • Auto-renewal stops immediately
  • You keep access until your paid period ends
  • No further charges will be made
